Little House On The Prairie (Series)

Laura falls in love with the new teacher's brother Almanzo. She is crushed when Nellie invites Almanzo over for dinner. Laura gets even with Nellie by volunteering to cook dinner for them. Laura cooks a meal that Almanzo won't forget. (Part 1 of 2)

When Laura and Nellie get in a fight about the graduation test, Almanzo separates them and takes Laura home with him. When Charles finds out that Almanzo took Laura home with him, Charles fears his daughter is being taken advantage of. (Part 2 of 2)

Each student must trace their family tree for a school assignment, documenting their family histories. Albert is unsure how to complete the assignment. Having become close to them, Albert asks the Ingalls to legally adopt him.

Adam (Linwood Boomer) wins a prestigious award. Laura (Melissa Gilbert) and Albert (Matthew Labyorteaux) give them the Christmas money they make from collecting honey, so Adam and Mary (Melissa Sue Anderson) can go on a trip to receive the award.

A circus comes to Walnut Grove. Everybody is helping set up, except Nels Oleson. His long, lost estranged sister is in the circus. Nels is nominated to be the announcer at the circus resulting in Nels and Annabella becoming very close siblings.

When the Reverend Alden falls in love with a parishioner, Mrs. Craig, Harriet Oleson tries to stop Reverend Alden from making a grave mistake and marrying her. Mrs. Oleson even threatens the Reverend with his job, but the wedding goes on as planned.

Albert's imagination starts to get the better of him at Nellie Oleson's Halloween party. When Albert dreams that he and Laura have been taken by local hostile Native Americans and he must fight against the U.S. Army.

After an accident, Mr. Edwards is injured and can't walk properly making him feel like only half a man. Charles and Laura visit him, and he seems to come out of his dark mood at seeing Laura only to fall back into a dark depression.

Jonathan is tricked into believing that he is a good wrestler by Jimmy Hart, a wrestling promoter who rigs the preliminary bout so that Jonathan beats Milo, a former champion. After the win, many members of Walnut Grove gamble on Jonathan winning.

A faith healer comes to Walnut Grove. He is able to convince people that he is better than the Reverend or Doc Baker. He is found out to be a fake when a little boy dies from a ruptured appendix.

Caroline's mother dies while traveling on a train headed for Walnut Grove. Caroline's father becomes withdrawn as he grieves. Charles convinces him to write down all his stories. Mary gives birth to a baby boy, Adam Charles Holbrook Kendall.

Harriet Oleson causes trouble between Alice and Jonathan Garvey when the telephone is first introduced in Walnut Grove. Mrs. Oleson listens to a conversation between Alice Garvey and her mother, discussing her previously unknown first husband.

Tod Dortmunder was a boy who got beaten up by his drunk father Joe. Tod, now 17, is visiting his grandparents, Virginia and Brewster Davenport, in Walnut Grove where Tod quickly gets into trouble as a dark secret is revealed.

Walnut Grove has a school bully, Bart. Albert and Laura want to teach the Bart a lesson, so Albert dresses up as a werewolf, but the bully isn't fooled. But in the end, it takes the joint efforts of the school children to get the bully to be nice.

Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls travel to a convention. They want to meet up with some of their old friends from their school days. Caroline realizes that her friends are not as happy as they seem to be. The Ingalls are more than happy to go back home.

Laura and Mary are held captive when some escaped convicts take refuge at the blind school. One of the convicts tells Laura to go get a doctor, Laura gets her Pa instead. Pretending to be a doctor, Charles is able to disarm the convicts.

A deaf boy learns how to communicate with people when Laura teaches him sign language. The boy falls in love with her and not wanting to hurt his feelings, Laura pretends to love him and eventually reveals to him that she really loves someone else.

Albert accidently leaves a smoking pipe in the basement as the school catches on fire and Mary's baby is killed because of it. Albert is able to pull Mary out of her shock. Jonathan talks to Albert and helps him deal with what he has done.

Almanzo's brother, Perley comes to town. Perley injures one of Almanzo's horses. Mr. Ingalls is proud of Almanzo when Charles sees him trying to nurse his horse back to normal. Throughout the show, Almanzo becomes more interested in Laura.

Nels gets fed up with his wife and decides to peddle goods outside of town. Nels meets a lovely young lady and starts to fall in love with her but finally tells her that he is married. Nels then returns home to his wife and family.

Laura gets the opportunity to be a temporary teacher for a nearby town. Almanzo drives her to the school. Laura realizes that Almanzo Wilder also has feelings for her. Laura and Almanzo’s romance steps up another degree in this episode.
