Ram (Dhanush) is the son of Bhanupriya and Prabhu. He falls in love with Janani (Shruti) at a very young age and this is opposed by their parents. But in an unexpected circumstance, they marry each other. After marriage, fate deals a cruel blow and the story takes unexpected twists. Ram is afflicted with Bipolar Disorder and he suffers from extreme mood swings. Will Ram be cured of his disease?
