René thinks that things around the café are returning to what passes for normal when the escaping British airmen turn up again, disguised as nuns.

Edith continues to gallivant round the village in search of a new husband while Herr Flick decides to conceal the real Fallen Madonna inside a sausage in René's café.

While René believes he is finally getting rid of the British airmen, another agent is dropped by parachute, disguised as a French policeman.

René and the Captain take Gruber's armoured car in an attempt to blow up the train containing the sausage with the forged painting.

Monsieur Alphonse is mortally insulted that Edith would chose René over him and challenges René to a duel with pistols.

The Colonel, Captain and René are captured by the Gestapo and taken to the dungeon's of the chateau where they are interrogated by Herr Flick.
