Season 3 premiere. Henry VIII weds for a third time, praying for a male heir; the court faces a Catholic uprising.

Season 3. The rebellion begins in earnest, with a bedridden, ailing Henry dispatching Brandon to deal with the turmoil.

Season 3. Henry reconciles with his estranged daughters in time for the holidays, but brutally betrays the rebels.

Season 3. Henry agrees to a politically fortuitous marriage in order to avoid war with France and Spain.

Season 3 finale. Henry moves swiftly to annul his loveless marriage to Anne of Cleves, and beds a new, teenage mistress; Princess Mary falls in love; Cromwell's fall from favor is sudden.
