Go-ni is playing high stakes poker, and winning because his crime boss opponent has a poor poker face. When Go-ni wins, the man and his cohorts attack. He escapes. Flashbacks show the death of Go-ni's father, his history of gambling, and the development of his childhood bond with Nan-sook.

A tense fight leads to the violent robbery and chase of thieves through the city. Card games are held but they are not entirely fair for the players who are participating.

A criminal uses cards to decide which of the two cheating players will lose a hand. Goni feels bad for his friend who is jailed and just lost a family member.

An appeal to the authorities questions the activities at the neighborhood restaurant that is known to be a casino instead. After the card game, a man takes the money he won and has to flee from the other players.

Information concerning Ah Kwee comes to light and a plan for revenge is under consideration. Two men talk about card games and becoming a gambler but do not mention the cheater.

The Master schools his protégés and decides to take them on a trip to practice their skills. Ledgers and records are found in the casino by a worker before she is discovered.

Employee lockers are searched after the discovery of a worker in the restricted area. Young Min is set up to help take out Fire Bear’s Casino for an opposing crime boss.

A group is taken by van to the card game in a remote location. Choi and Nan Suk share rings before parting ways as she prepares to leave for a trip.

Dae Ho is found at the casino but gets away before he can be detained by men working for the boss. Friends meet at the casino where they play tazza and talk about Ah Kwee’s betrayal.

A police raid occurs at the house after authorities are called in to close it down by someone who wants to show their power. Goni is playing in a game as Mr.Park’s representative.

People enter the game with the intention of throwing off Goni and giving Young Min a chance to win. The casino is lost as Young Min gives away a winning hand at the game because of his feelings for Jina

Fire Bear is murdered and it appears that events may not be as they seem. Young Min can win freedom for Nan Suk but he is luring another player into the game.

Goni’s uncle is forced to play a game in order to free Goni from the warehouse. After Goni goes to prison, he shares his story with other prisoners who give him ideas about how to proceed when the punishment ends.

Goni finds someone in prison who also has a grudge against Ah Kwee. Fire Bear's death leads to important changes at the casino including a new person in charge of daily operations

In prison, a stabbing acts as cover to get Goni out of prison. Goni tries to send someone away and comes to a important realization about the events surrounding false accusations.

Gwang Tae finds important information that will clear Goni but his sister is taken by kidnappers. The prisoners get together after their release to help Goni with plans for revenge.

Goni meets about setting up the game and gets protection from the other player. Dong Chun is taken in by a phony horse racing scheme but he gives information that will clear Goni.

Young Min and Dong Chun make sure that Goni is arrested again while searching for his uncle's body. Young Min appoints himself casino manager after getting rid of Ah Kwee.

Goni asks Nan Suk to create a company with the goal of bringing down Ah Kwee. Young Min is tipped off to the entire scheme and patiently waits for them to act.

Goni calls Young Min to inform him about the fake videotape. Ah Kwee kidnaps Nan Suk and Goni receives a call that taunts him before setting up an important meeting.

Goni does not meet the ransom requirements for Nan Suk and Young Min starts a fight after crashing the exchange. Director Yoo is fatally shot after being arrested by police.
