Clay has a healthy appetite for books but fiction becomes a dangerous hair-raising reality when he buys a mythical book and meets Cleo. In a bid for Cleo's love, Clay is thrust into an unknown world of stories that become real. Clay becomes convinced that the stories Cleo and the magical book are writing are all apart of an elaborate plot to kill him.
