As things spiral out of control, Hoshi and Cap from the student council set up rules to restore order. Asakaze and Nozomi are against this decision and are punished for it. It's been a month since the drifting started. The island is now surrounded by a seemingly endless body of water. Nagara and his friends are trying to find a way home. They can get anything they need with Mizuho's special power. Therefore, the students become very unmotivated. Fire breaks out at several places, which brings back a sense of alert among the kids. Who is the culprit?

Nagara, Nozomi, and Asakaze use their powers to explore the world. Murayama is found frozen in a black substance. Others are missing too. Pony, thinks they need answers. She appoints Mizuho to investigate, and she makes Nagara her assistant. Mizuho discovered her power before they started drifting. Nozomi hears from Hoshi that there is a voice only he can hear.

Nagara discovers his power to travel through worlds when he jumps into the baseball field. Cap invites him to baseball practice. Cap sets up the field for them with his power. They need a special flashlight to see an invisible gorilla. With the flashlight at stake, Nagara decides to have a match with the pitcher.

They try many methods to get home. Nagara and the gang use his power to explore different worlds. Meanwhile students gathering at the shelter under construction learn a shocking revelation from their teacher, Ms. Aki. She tells them a student had already had the power before the drifting, which is the result of that person's power going out of control. The students all think Nagara is the culprit.

It's been two months since Ms. Aki led the students on a search for Nagara. Nagara and Rajdhani arrive in "Film Maker," a world that looks like a cinema. They watch the movie for clues. Rajdhani realizes the videos are shot from Nagara's point of view. They bring the films back. Mizuho brings back a stray dog named Yamabiko. It is actually a drifter and also their senior.

Nagara and the gang who have learned the truth, Asakaze and Ms. Aki's group of students, and Hoshi's team are getting ready for the upcoming adventure. As Nagara is walking on the hill, he sees a high bar and enters a different world after doing a full spin. He meets a teenager named Futatsuboshi. The duo arrives at a site known as the Tower of Babel.

Nagara, Mizuho, and Yamabiko go on an adventure, leaving behind Nozomi. Mizuho asks Yamabiko how he becomes a dog while wolfing down the food. Yamabiko tells the story from 5000 years ago when he was still a human. Yamabiko went on a solo adventure where he found the world, "Village of Festival." He met a girl there and began to fall for her. However, the happiness was short-lived.

It's a world covered in ice. The twins have fought for thousands of years. Ms. Aki thinks they need the twins' power, "Reversal," to restore everything and the world to its original state. Nagara and his friends are caught up in the twins' quarrel and help the stranded students. Yamabiko asks one of Mizuho's cats, "Sakura," about something.

Kossetsu from Ms. Aki's group appears in a crowded world called "The Farthest Terminal." Kossetsu has the power that let her hear people's thoughts. She recalls her time with her crush, Asakaze. Memories pour in. She is aware that Asakaze likes Nozomi and she has done nothing to compete for her crush's love. Nagara and his friends conduct experiments to learn about the cats.

Nagara and Mizuho learn from Kossetsu's letter that Nozomi is dead. The duo frame a photo of Nozomi and send her away quietly. Rajdhani appears before them with a new look. With Rajdhani's help, Nagara makes some progress with his launching station. Rajdhani tells Nagara a story about the man who invented "death."

Rain falls from the cloudy sky. Nagara attends the orientation ceremony. Those around him seemingly have no recollection of their adventure. He runs into Mizuho. However, she feels so distant to him. Nagara begins to question whether the drifting actually happened. Back in his room, he stares at the spinning compass. He recalls what happened after he went over the world.
