The launch of the Sega Master System. Sega Games Co. Ltd. was founded in the late 1940's and grew into one of the world's largest video game companies. Their first entry in the worldwide home video game market was the Sega Master System, released in North America in 1986, Great Britain in 1987, and Brazil in 1989.
