From Ariège to Aude, from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean, the mythical sentier Cathare - GR367 - runs for 250 kilometers. Along the way, hikers discover impregnable citadels and splendid ruins, such as the Château de Quéribus, remnants of the Cathars who defied the Church in the 13th century. In the upper Aude valley are the spectacular Gorges de Galamus, ideal for canyoning.
