Damon Hill was the champion for the 1996 Formula 1 season, the 47th season of the sport. This achievement made him the only son of a World Champion to also win the title.

Jacques Villeneuve was the Formula 1 champion for the 48th season in 1997. Despite a controversial collision with Michael Schumacher he clinched the title in only his second year in the sport. 1998 was the 49th season of Formula 1 racing and saw Mika Hakkinen win his first championship title. This was a year of change up in F1 as Mclaren-Mercedes was now the quickest team and constructors like Williams, Beneton and Tyrell struggling after Renaults departure.

It's the 50th season of Formula 1 racing! In this championship from 1999 Mika Hakinen emerged triumphant for a second time in his career. Ferrari secured the constructors title beating out McLaren and Honda. The following year would see the start of Schumacher's domination with Ferrari as he suffered a broken leg after a crash this year.
