About The Young Idea is the story of a great British pop band that spoke for thousands of 'ordinary kids', and inspired the kind of devotion that is almost non-existent now. The film is the story of where they came from, how they made it and why they split up. It is also about a selection of fans, some famous and some not, for whom the Jam were central to their growing up.
