Pokémon the Series: The Beginning (2 seasons)

Eager to earn a badge, Ash challenges Lt. Surge. Pikachu reluctantly enters the battle, only to discover that its opponent is a Raichu, a fierce Pokémon with tremendous electric power-and the evolved form of Pikachu!

Ash and his friends board the cruise ship St. Anne, thanks to tickets provided by Jessie and James in disguise. Their latest plan is to lure Pokémon Trainers onto the ship and steal their Pokémon!

A powerful storm forces everyone except Team Rocket and our heroes to abandon the sinking St. Anne. Ash, Brock, and Misty are forced to team up with their long-standing enemies in order to survive this sticky situation!

As our heroes and Team Rocket beat the odds by surviving the sinking of the St. Anne, they are dragged into another perilous situation when they are attacked by the Pokémon, Gyarados!

When a group of Tentacool interferes with the construction of a hotel, a woman offers a reward to anyone who can repel them. However, our heroes are forced into action when Team Rocket's ploy fails spectacularly!

Our heroes arrive at a small port town, in the middle of celebrating a summer festival. To recover from their hard journey, Ash and his friends decide to relax and enjoy the festivities.

When the party sees a group of Butterfree flying above the ocean, Ash decides to release his own Butterfree. After being rejected once, can Ash's Butterfree win over the heart of its pink sweetheart?

The party finally arrives in Saffron City, where a young girl commands a Pokémon Gym with her psychic powers. If Ash defeats Gym Leader Sabrina, he will earn his fourth Gym badge!

After being defeated by Sabrina, Ash realizes that he must catch a Ghost-type Pokémon to defeat the Saffron Gym Leader's awesome Psychic-type Pokémon. He heads for Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town, where they are said to dwell.

Leaving Pokémon Tower with Haunter in tow, Ash returns to Saffron City with only one goal in mind: to win a Gym Badge from the powerful Psychic-type Gym Leader, Sabrina!

When Ash tries to catch a wild Mankey, it loses its cool and uses Thrash on the whole gang-even stealing Ash's hat! Will Ash find a way to pacify this pugnacious Pokémon?

After insulting Gym Leader Erika's perfume at a department store, Ash must go to some outrageous lengths to even set foot in the Celadon Gym, let alone be deemed worthy to challenge her!

Officer Jenny reveals that a mysterious sleep wave has been detected in the area for several days. Our heroes suspect this has something to do with why so many children have gone missing, and why the Pokémon at the Pokémon Center aren't getting better.
