A body is discovered in the Hollywood Hills. Meanwhile, Sophie Whitlock makes a new friend, or acquires a new subject, in the person of Fawn Watkins.

Detective Ledet begrudgingly asks Whitlock for help with the murder case. Whitlock condescends to accept, with Watkins in tow.

Whitlock chats with a local, hones her gardening skills, and bonds with her new roomie Fawn through a mutual interest in art.

Whitlock and Watkins host a young Hollywood couple for refreshments and friendly conversation, giving new meaning to the term 'high tea.'

With the expert assistance of a mysterious friend, all is revealed, and almost everyone goes home fairly happy.
