Arguably the greatest spy for the West during the Cold War Dimitriy Polyakov was a Russian Military Intelligence General who turned on Russia. He was run by the CIA and FBI and betrayed by both Ames and Hanssen.

Vladimir Vetrov was a KGB officer who worked for the French intelligence service. The “Farewell Document” shared with President Reagan included Soviet intelligence gained by Vetrov.

Gabrielle Kleim was one of many women working in West Germany targeted by “Romeo Spies.” Duped into sharing intelligence for love at the behest of the “Man Without a Face” East German HVA Intel Chief Marcus Wolf.

While a prisoner in North Korea George Blake was recruited by the Soviets to spy on the British. He was caught and sentenced to prison but escaped to the Soviet Union.

Xialong Zhang and Cao Guangzhi are two Chinese nationals who are caught attempting to steal proprietary information from Apple Inc. and Tesla’s Autonomous driving vehicle for a Chinese competitor.
