As farmers across the land prepare for the 159th Great Yorkshire Show, help is needed from Peter and Julian to get their livestock into peak condition.

Over on young vet Katy’s family farm, a new arrival has everyone talking: a lamb has been born with five fully formed legs! Will the extra limb cause problems?

Julian rushes to an emergency: a ewe is struggling to deliver her lamb. At the practice, Peter has a visit from Benji the bouncy border terrier, who has been vomiting.

Julian helps a heifer named Bonnie to give birth and later goes on a wild swan chase. Peter meets one of the UK’s most endangered species: an orphaned baby hedgehog.

Collette and her son Cailean are fanatical about ferrets and have 39 at their home. But their prize-winning ferret, Teddy, has a lump, and Collette fears he has cancer.

Peter is called to see elderly Highland cow Agnes, but it’s not going to be easy to examine her, as she has one of the biggest sets of horns Peter has ever encountered.

Peter heads out to pregnancy test a herd of cows, but a winter storm may hinder him. Julian tries to help a dog who was stolen but reunited with her owners after 6 years.

It’s Christmas, but life never stops at Skeldale. Peter is called to an emergency, while adorable 6-month-old donkey Alfie wins over everyone at the clinic.
