After witnessing Karasuno High's Little Giant dominate on TV, Shoya is determined to become a giant on the court himself.

Once enemies, Hinata and Kageyama must now learn to work as a team if they ever hope to step foot on the court again.

With only a few days before their big match, Kageyama refuses to toss to Hinata before he is of value to the team. As they begin training, their opponents show up to size up the King of the Court.

With the opposition firmly inside Hinata and Kageyama's heads, the do or die matchup begins. In order to surpass the wall of defenders, the two once rivals will have to find a measure of trust within each other.

With the three-on-three match behind them, Hinata, Kageyama and the rest of the team begin focusing on their practice match with Aoba Seiji, one of the top 4 volleyball teams in the city.

Hinata's confidence has been shot right before their practice game with Aoba Johsai. Kageyama's old teammates don't make things easier as they continually egg him on before the match.

Johsai's star setter returns just in time for the last, and deciding, set. With the ability to control the ball as well or better than Kageyama, this new addition will prove to make set 3 an interesting battle.

Nishinoya is cleared to join Karasuno volleyball once again, but refuses unless their Ace Asahi comes back as well. The team decides to persude Asahi to return to the courts as their ace spiker.

After finally convincing the Foothill Store owner to coach Karasuno, a practice match is immediately arranged, where Asahi tries to gain back his confidence as an ace once again.

Hinata wants to be the ace, but soon finds out that there's more to being a great ace than scoring points during their match against the Association Squad.

With the whole team at training camp preparing for the Inter-High Preliminaries, Keishin is torn on who to choose to face their opponents as a setter.

Kageyamas attacks are swift and strong but Nekoma has tactics that are proving to be too successful to overcome.
