Dog Guide Fosters of Durham

Barley will soon be recalled to begin official training at Dog Guides. While it's yet to be determined what Barley will be suited for as a future service dog, Jeanette has her own best guesses for Barley's bright future. In their last weeks together, Jeanette and Barley work on a few final lessons in manners.

Esther's hands are full as she's still fostering Ahri and while working out a few final kinks, a new, energetic puppy named Hulu has just joined the household. Now that Ahri has learned many ways of the world, Hulu will hopefully learn a few things from big sis.

First-time, dog-guide foster, Christine is nearing the end of her year with future dog guide, Akira. As Christine and her husband patiently work with Akira, while the other family dogs also show her the ropes, Christine spells out the true job of a foster of future service-dog puppies.

Service dog organizations around the world rely on human fosters to care for and hand raise their puppies.
