A neighborhood of families rush home for the holidays, ready to share in the chaos and joy of the season. Josh Hill is back in town, and runs into Nora, his high school crush. Only nowadays, she is the local Sheriff and can issue him driving infractions, which she does.

Josh and Nora were lab partners in high school, both assuming each was out of their league while harboring a secret crush on the other. Nora is the small town’s sheriff, recently widowed and raising her son Theo alone. While tasked with some community service under Nora’s supervisions, Josh and Theo forge a connection, bringing Josh and Norah closer while he’s home for the holidays.

Ted and Marcus are celebrating their engagement with Ted’s family this Christmas. Grandma Lin crashes, and oh no! Ted’s never come out to her! In a misguided effort not to break Grandma’s very traditional, failing heart this Christmas, the family takes on the ruse that Marcus is actually engaged to Ted’s sister Ella after a misunderstanding.

Lucy and her sister Sylvie have been at odds since their Mom’s sudden passing when they were kids. Lucy, the older sister, took on the responsibility of motherhood much sooner than she was prepared for while Sylvie followed in her mother’s “larger than life” footsteps. Sylvie’s home for Hanukkah and wants to spice things up.

Linda Johnson is bringing her new boyfriend, Evan, home for the holidays—to meet her children and ex-husband Robert for the first time. One thing she forgot to mention—he’s the age of her adult children! Robert and Linda have been on rocky terms, as Linda felt she was always waiting for Robert to show up for their life rather than waiting for life to happen to him.

Gaby Camarena comes home once a year to bring back beloved traditions with her family. She’s incredibly close with her parents and her brother Kevin, who’s bringing a date to the holidays for the first time ever. Who is the girl who finally convinced Kevin Camarena to pack it in??
