One Tree Hill

At the hospital bed where Dan lies after a heart attack, Deb contemplates her role in the tragedy. Meanwhile, Haley and Nathan have gotten married in a ceremony attended only by her parents. Peyton and Brooke begin to recapture their friendship. And Lucas is living in Charleston with Keith, but the news of Dan's hospitalization leads to soul searching on both of their parts.

With the assistance of Peyton and Brooke, Lucas gives Nathan and Haley a wedding reception. Although Haley's parents, Jim (HUEY LEWIS - "Duets") and Lydia (BESS ARMSTRONG - "My So-Called Life"), support their daughter's marriage, Deb doesn't. Meanwhile, Dan's recent heart attack causes him to try mending his relationships with Deb and Lucas.

Although Nathan and Haley are already married, Tim (recurring guest star BRETT CLAYWELL) insists on giving Nathan a post-wedding bachelor party, while Brooke hosts Haley's bachelorette party. Meanwhile, Lucas tries to decide whether he should visit his father, Dan, in the hospital. Karen chooses to return to school. Nathan gets a job working for Keith at Dan's dealership.

Brooke's smug new male neighbor rescues her after she is arrested for shoplifting. Nathan and Haley have their first post-wedding argument when he buys her a gift rather than a much-needed car. Lucas' attempt to help Dan with rehab ends in disaster. Peyton tries to organize a club that caters to both kids and adults, but in order to finalize her pet project, she is pressured to try cocaine.

Felix (MICHAEL COPON) organizes a "dare night" to test the limits of his new classmates. While playing the game, Lucas meets a mysterious girl. Peyton confesses to a priest that she recently tried cocaine, and Keith is surprised when a beautiful woman comes to the dealership and flirts with him while shopping for a car. Meanwhile, Karen goes on a date with her young professor.

After dare night resulted in new relationships, Lucas shares a romantic evening with Anna (DANIELLA ALONSO) during a midnight meteor shower. Andy (KIEREN HUTCHISON) surprises Karen with dinner, and Keith cooks for Jules (MARIA MENOUNOS) on their first date. Brooke forms a mutually beneficial relationship with Felix (MICHAEL COPON), and Peyton searches for an opening act for her club.

The opening of Karen's club, TRIC, brings the people of Tree Hill together. Lucas and Felix engage in an altercation over Anna. After the scheduled performer quits on the night of the club opening, Haley must overcome her fear of performing in order to save the night for Peyton. Keith and Jules realize their relationship has reached a new level. And Dan tells Karen that Deb had sex with Keith.

Brooke, Peyton, Haley and Anna have a slumber party where secrets and lies are revealed. Meanwhile, when Lucas and Nathan take a road trip to a Bobcats game, Nathan reveals he is being tested for the genetic defect that caused Dan's heart attack and suggests Lucas do the same. After an awkward encounter with Keith and Jules, Karen and Andy share an intimate night together.

Although Lucas takes Anna (recurring guest star DANIELLA ALONSO) as his date to the Tree Hill High formal, he's with Brooke at the end of the night. Meanwhile, Haley's musical obligations to Chris (recurring guest star TYLER HILTON) cause her to arrive late to the formal, angering her husband. And Peyton struggles with the growing temptation to use drugs.

Concerned about his brother's health, Nathan informs Karen that Lucas did not take the medical test for his heart. Meanwhile, Dan asks Keith to continue to work at the dealership as vice president, and Keith accepts. Peyton confronts rumors at school that she is a lesbian, which affects her friendship with Anna (DANIELLA ALONSO), while the gap between Nathan and Haley continues to grow.

Haley is surprised when her older sister Taylor (LINDSEY McKEON) comes to town--but not as shocked as Nathan, who recognizes Taylor from a past tryst. Meanwhile, Brooke and Felix (MICHAEL COPON) start a relationship. Jake (BRYAN GREENBERG) surprises Peyton when he shows up in Tree Hill. And Anna (DANIELLA ALONSO) confides a deep secret to Lucas.

Nathan confesses his past relationship with Taylor (LINDSEY McKEON) to Haley, but Haley continues to keep her e-mails with Chris (TYLER HILTON, not appearing) a secret. Lucas and Karen remain at odds over his refusal to take a heart test. Meanwhile, Keith surprises Jules (MARIA MENOUNOS) with a proposal, and Brooke fights for better working conditions at her new job.

After Lucas receives his medical test results, he moves in with Dan, straining his relationships with both Karen and Nathan. When musicians MICHELLE BRANCH (herself) and JESSICA HARP (herself) from the band The Wreckers perform, Haley realizes she must pursue her true passion: music. Meanwhile, Brooke vies for student council president, and Peyton and Jake's friendship grows stronger.

Nathan experiences an emotional crisis and reverts to his former self as his marriage with Haley unravels. Karen continues to question Lucas' motives for moving in with Dan and Deb. Brooke becomes student council president with a little help from Mouth (LEE NORRIS). Meanwhile, after much sexual tension, Jake (BRYAN GREENBERG) and Peyton share their first kiss.

During the creation of Tree Hill High's time capsule project, Anna and the members of the group confess their secrets to an anonymous video camera. Nathan's anger over Haley's absence continues to grow. Peyton's and Jake's feelings for each other intensify, while Felix gives Brooke a party to celebrate her election as student body president. In court, Lucas opts to live with Dan and Deb.

It's Keith and Jules' (MARIA MENOUNOS) wedding day, and the event has caused a commotion in the town. Brooke asks Lucas to be her date at the wedding; Nathan makes an important decision involving his marriage to Haley; and Jake (BRYAN GREENBERG) and Peyton take a big step in their relationship. Meanwhile, Karen and Andy (KIEREN HUTCHISON) discover Jules' secret relationship with Dan.

Keith has a violent confrontation with Dan after learning that Dan paid Jules to have an affair with Keith. After discovering that Felix defaced Peyton's locker, Anna reports his actions to school authorities. Meanwhile, Lucas and Brooke discuss the possibility of her permanently leaving Tree Hill. And Nathan decides to bring Haley home. Series star PAUL JOHANSSON directed the episode.

On his way home from seeing Haley on tour, Nathan spends time with Taylor, hoping for some fun and maybe more. Meanwhile, Anna gets a surprise visit from her old girlfriend and is inspired to tell her parents about her sexuality. Also, Lucas and Andy work together to ruin Dan. Karen stifles Brooke. Peyton and Jake continue to hide baby Jenny from Nikki.

Nathan's Uncle Cooper visits Tree Hill to take Nathan and Lucas on an auto racing trip. On the track, Nathan and Lucas are challenged to a contest by beautiful Daytona and her obnoxious brother Garrett, but things go horribly wrong when Nathan loses control of his car. Meanwhile, Deb's addiction to pain pills intensifies, and Dan exposes Andy's relationship with Karen to Andy's class.

Lying in a coma after his race car accident, Nathan dreams of what life would have been like if Dan had stayed with Karen and Lucas instead of marrying Deb. In this imaginary world, Lucas possesses wealth and stature, and Nathan lives in a less than prominent area of town.

Nathan is discharged from the hospital and returns home to a pile of unpaid bills and an eviction notice. Lucas, Peyton and Brooke host a fund-raiser at the River Court to help Nathan; however, Dan also comes to Nathan's rescue. But Dan's gift comes with an ultimatum--he wants Nathan to ask Haley for an annulment.
