Jonah (Ben Feldman) begins his first day on the job at big-box store Cloud 9 and immediately starts a rocky relationship with floor supervisor Amy (America Ferrera) when he comes off as elitist and mistakenly marks appliances for only a quarter.

Store manager Glenn (Mark McKinney) gets overly excited when the Cloud 9 corporate magazine, Stratus, is interested in a story. The reporter, Cynthia (guest star Eliza Coupe), is more focused on Jonah (Ben Feldman), however, and the two develop a more-than-business relationship, which Amy (America Ferrera) had suspected.

Tate the Cloud 9 pharmacist has just returned from vacation. Jonah decides to help Tate administer free flu shots which results in an increasingly bad day for Jonah. Elsewhere, Glenn needs an employee to put on a sombrero and hand out samples of the new in-house brand salsa and conspicuously looks to Amy and the one other Hispanic employee Carmen to do it.

Jonah’s coworkers discover a mannequin that looks exactly like him and continually tease him about it. While doing his best to prove to Amy, and everyone else, that the teasing doesn’t bother him he ends up doing just the opposite.

Amy introduces her daughter to Jonah and asks for a favor - Isabella Day and Natasha Leggero guest star.

Jonah aces the cloud 9 employee training test with a perfect score.

Glenn initiates an employee contest at Cloud 9.

The store has an annual one-day wedding sale.

The employees of Cloud 9 are forced to spend the night in the store.

Dina's feelings for Jonah finally come to a head.

Cheyenne goes into labor at Cloud 9.
