Ramón and Soledad, Zacatecan peasants, emigrate to Mexico City, leaving behind a miserable life. After several vicissitudes, Ramón triumphs as a singer on the radio and is sought after by the Texan actress Mirta. Soledad is saddened by the way Ramón lets himself become dizzy with success.
