10 episode
1. Episode 1
Dessert Masters returns as Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon welcome ten top pastry chefs into the Dessert Masters kitchen. They are cooking up a storm to create their dessert masterpiece and are out to impress as only the best dish will win this season's biggest advantage, a secret SOS box.
2. Episode 2
The next challenge is a huge one. Not only must their dessert need to be delicious, but it must also move. It might drip, turn, float, ooze or dissolve, but it will be no easy feat. The reward for knocking this challenge out of the park will be immunity from the first looming elimination.
3. Episode 3
Nothing is as it seems! In the first elimination of the season, contestants make a dessert that tricks the eye by appearing to be something else, whilst ensuring flavour is front and centre. With only two and a half hours, tensions run high as nobody wants to be the first eliminated.
4. Episode 4
It's the infamous team relay, and to win immunity from the next elimination, the remaining nine Dessert Masters, split into teams of three, challenge themselves to work as a trio to create one harmonious dessert celebrating ricotta.
5. Episode 5
In the season's second elimination, contestants must create their own version of traditional Australian desserts. Think vanilla slice, custard tart, lamington… plus, they must include either blueberries or apple in their dessert. The least impressive dish will send its maker home.
6. Episode 6
Roll up, the circus is in town. Tonight, the contestants enter the kitchen to find performers from Cirque du Soleil putting on an amazing display from their show, Luzia. Contestants take inspiration from this performance and create a dish worthy of the final immunity of the season.
7. Episode 7
The elimination challenge sees Amaury ask our pastry chefs to celebrate one of his four signature techniques - his chocolate carnation, gold leaf dipping, turntable piping, and drill piping - with 2.5 hours to create a dessert that will keep them in the competition.
8. Episode 8
The chefs bring the judges a dessert that celebrates bubbles and aeration, inspired by one of six Schweppes fizzy drink flavours. With the semi-final almost in reach, the stakes are high as the makers of the two bottom dishes will both be farewelled.
9. Episode 9
In an emotionally charged semi-final tale for the ages, the contestants put it all on the line to share some deeply personal stories. The five cooks who enter the kitchen tell the judges a story across three dishes, but only three will progress to the Grand Finale.
10. Episode 10
It's the Dessert Masters Grand Finale! Our three finalists cook to impress the judges, as well as Gareth Whitton, Kirsten Tibballs and Adriano Zumbo. In this episode, contestants create a themed two-course meal, inspired by green and gold. Whose dishes will impress the judges enough to walk away as the newly crowned Dessert Master for 2024?
