After being caught with another girl in the back seat of a car on prom night, Cameron is shipped off to a conversion therapy centre treating teens "struggling with same-sex attraction". She is subjected to outlandish discipline and dubious "de-gaying" methods, but also provided with an unlikely community. She is able to connect with peers and find her place among fellow outcasts.
