In desperate need of money and work, Brooklyn detective McCoy is so destitute that he's been forced to use a pool table for a bed. When McCoy is offered $10,000 by the rich and eccentric Hume to recover some stolen diamonds, he finds that all the evidence points to the fact that Hume is after a prize much bigger than just diamonds.
