In 1965, Jim meets Ray Manzarek at UCLA. Jim writes poetry, Ray plays organ. With Robby Krieger and John Desmore, they form "The Doors." Their shows on Sunset Strip draw crowds. The band’s music, lyrics, and wild lifestyle define a generation. Jim, torn between Pamela and Patricia, embraces drugs. On stage, he’s transcendent. But his journey leads to a mysterious, premature death.
