Everybody Hates Chris

Determined to make life better for himself at Corlene Junior High, Chris decides to run for Class President and asks Greg to be his Vice President. Chris learns from a popularity poll that he and Greg can't get on the ballot running together, so he kicks Greg off the ticket and replaces him with a popular jock, igniting a war between the two friends.

Hoping to have better success with girls this year, Chris asks out Yvette, a new girl in the neighborhood. But Yvette stands Chris up at the movies, and he must decide whether to ask her out again when Doc gives him Whodini concert tickets. Rochelle decides to host a neighborhood watch meeting after Julius's truck is stolen.

Working on his Class President campaign, Chris learns from Greg that he must field questions at an upcoming town hall meeting, as well as prepare a speech. Chris "borrows" the best quotes from the speeches of several famous icons, only for Caruso to steal Chris's speech for himself, forcing Chris to think on his feet to impress the 8th grade class.

Chris exterminates a mouse for his neighbor, Tasha, who gives him a kiss on the cheek as a reward. Jerome, having witnessed the kiss, congratulates Chris on making Tasha his girlfriend, something which Chris neither confirms nor denies. Soon, a rumor spreads through the neighborhood that Tasha is "fast".

Chris is excited by his new job at Doc's corner store until Malvo, a local thug, robs the place and threatens to kill Chris if he rats him out. Doc figures out Chris is lying and asks him who robbed the store, Chris refuses and Doc fires him.

To diffuse the tension between Chris and Caruso, the new school Principal pairs them up as buddies on an upcoming field trip. Caruso causes them to miss the bus back to school, so they must find their way back to Corleone themselves.

The school newspaper prints a story saying that Chris has not delivered on campaign promises he made while running for Class President. Things go from bad to worse when Chris is threatened with impeachment. Rochelle's freeloading brother moves in with the family after being thrown out by his mother.

Julius lends Chris a pair of socks and jokes that they're "lucky". Chris is skeptical, but becomes a believer when several great things happen to him while wearing them. In fact, life is going so well that Chris decides there is no need to study for an upcoming test. Rochelle throws out the socks, and Chris must find a way to make his own luck.

Rochelle makes everyone in the family pitch in to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and charges Chris with cooking the most important dish - the macaroni and cheese. But, Chris falls asleep and burns the dish, and must figure out how save their Thanksgiving dinner. Julius attempts to create the perfect Thanksgiving when his younger, more successful brother comes for a visit.

Knowing that a few more days at work and a holiday bonus will enable him to purchase great Christmas gifts for his family, Chris does his best not to catch the flu bug that's going around the neighborhood. Chris soon discovers his bonus will be paid in video game tokens, so he decides to take a second job working with Julius who is playing Santa Clause at the local department store.

For a class project, Chris must take care of an egg as if it were his child. Rochelle discovers that Chris was going to fake his oral report, so she puts him through the paces of being a "parent" to the egg. Chris manages to take care of the egg until he loses it. Julius goes on a mission to cut household costs when he receives an inflated electric bill.

Chris's teacher, Mrs. Morello, takes a leave of absence and he is delighted to discover the substitute teacher is African American. Chris thinks life at Corleone will be easier until he discovers his new teacher expects more from him than ever before. Tonya learns she can get away with pretty much anything if it is followed by the words, "Drew hit me."

Chris fills in for a missing DJ and does such a good job that he is offered $100 to do another gig. Getting all the equipment he needs to be a great DJ turns out to be difficult and expensive venture. Chris scratches Rochelle's favorite James Brown record, so he must decide between his DJ equipment and his mother's happiness.

To gain respect at school, Chris decides to become a Hall Monitor. Kids do not take him seriously, so he steps up his game only to become a power-hungry tyrant and puts his friendship with Greg in jeopardy. Tonya discovers her girlfriends are only hanging out with her because they have a crush on Drew. Julius must figure out a way to deal with Rochelle's constant complaining about her new job.

Chris's school closes for an official snow day, but Chris finds out too late and ends up spending the day alone with Principal Edwards. Rochelle's subway train is robbed on her way to work but matters go from bad to worse when the train breaks down and everyone is forced to spend the next several hours together. Julius asks Mr. Omar to watch Drew and Tonya.

Chris foils Malvo's plan to steal a gold chain and is given one day to replace it or suffer a beat down. Rochelle discovers Julius has a credit card and is keeping it from her. Tonya tries to win Billy Ocean concert tickets from a radio contest.

Chris and Greg decide to cut school and go see the movie Ghostbusters when they discover Ms. Morello will be out for the day and that they will have a substitute teacher. Chris and Greg think they're home free until they run into Ms. Morello at the movie theater. Julius goes to the DMV to renew his license, but his quick trip gets longer when he discovers he must re-take the written exam.

Julius gets tickets to a baseball game and decides to take Chris and Drew along to spend quality time with them. But Tasha asks Chris to the movies, and Chris discovers it's the same day as the baseball game. Rochelle discovers she forgot to mail a letter to the Billy Ocean Fan Club for Tonya, who has been anxiously waiting for a response.

Chris's love of sports turns into a money-making venture for Doc and the neighborhood when Chris's basketball picks begin to pay off. Chris enjoys wealth and a newfound popularity in his neighborhood until the local bookie begins to lose too much money and warns Chris to stop giving out gambling advice or suffer a beat down.

Chris hears his parents listening to comedy records at home and discovers telling jokes gives him the attention and popularity he's always wanted. Feeling lonely since her husband's death, Rochelle's mom begins spending too much time at the house, so Rochelle decides to fix her mom up on a blind date. Drew begins getting unwanted attention from a girl in the neighborhood.

Ms. Morello informs Chris he is the weak link in the big Corleone math competition and his class will have no chance of winning it if his performance in algebra doesn't improve quickly. Not wanting to let down his classmates, Chris asks his parents for a tutor, but Rochelle offers to help him instead.

On the last day of school, Chris puts together an elaborate stunt to exact revenge on Caruso for making his life hell at Corleone. Tonya becomes jealous of all the attention surrounding Drew's elementary school graduation. Julius insists on fixing Mr. Omar's clogged kitchen sink himself to save money but ends up making the situation much worse.
