An attempt to kill the Serbian king makes clear that the dissidents will stop at nothing before they achieve their goal. A bizarre murder at medieval fortress of Žrnov begins a new case for Stanko.

A new year begins. Tane and Stanko drink at the local bar when a man approaches to settle the score for an incident that happened in an illegal gambling parlour.

Gangs reach a pact for the opium trade but The Monk begins to expand his drug empire in Belgrade. Tane investigates in Žrnov fortress to gather information about the murder.

Tane's heart is divided between Maja and his ex-wife, who wants to return to him after many years. A shooting incident in front of Alimpije's club sparks a friendship between Tane and the Montenegrin gangsters.

The General storms Alimpije's club suspecting a plot against him. Tane, Stanko and Božidar discover bizarre murders are somehow connected to Apis' "Black hand."

Dimitrijević is arrested and all evidence shows that he is behind the murders. Tane refuses to believe it.

Tane suspects that Mustafa is the mysterious killer and interrogates him. Dimitrijević admits to Tane that Obrad is the man behind the crimes.

Žrnov fortress is dismantled and a new monument built in its place. Tane and his allies plan to kidnap and interrogate Savković.

Stanko finds out that his former wife was kidnapped by the communists and that she was also Mustafa's lover for years.

Maja's position as head of the Thule Society is endangered. The motives for the strange killing spree are finally revealed. King Alexandar needs to be saved, as another assassination is soon to take place in Belgrade.
