Grow Up Show

It is Japan in the late 1950s, right in the midst of the era of rapid economic growth. Mizuka Tsurumaki, left penniless after the financial support from her father ceased, collapses on a rural road in the sweltering heat of summer. She is rescued by Ouka and Rin from the "Sunflower Circus," a struggling, small-time troupe. Although Mizuka is a circus prodigy who detests the very idea of the...

The "Sunflower Circus" is headed to Toyokawa, a popular and officially sanctioned performance venue. The troupe members were full of anticipation for a big turnout, but upon arrival, they discover that their scheduled spot had been hijacked by "Shiny Lavender"-a troupe under the umbrella of the Sumeragi Group! If Sunflower Circus can't perform, the perpetually cash-strapped troupe will go...

And at that moment, the troupe leader, Mutsumi Kongoji, appears. It seems...

Although the "Sunflower Circus" had a successful performance in Toyokawa, their earnings were seized by debt collectors, leaving them in a state of perpetual financial hardship. Consequently, the troupe members take on part-time jobs at a beach. However, Mizuka and Imari are fired almost immediately! Mizuka then suggests holding a magic show instead of working part-time, but Imari has...

After confiding her anxiety to Ouka in the wings, she trusts Ouka's advice-"look at the audience before you fly"-and Mizuka steps onto the trapeze.

Maria suddenly collapses due to exhaustion. When her fellow troupe members visit her in the hospital, they caused such a ruckus in the room that Rin-showing a fiercer side than usual-scolds them and sends them back to the tent.
