This patriotic film follows military medic Curtis as he gets injured in the line of duty and is sent home with the dog who saved him. Both Curtis and his dog, named Friendly, must adjust to civilian life. As Curtis falls in love, we witness Sofia, a nurse, having a child, and both of them grappling with severe PTSD and mental health challenges. Together, they turn tragedy into triumph.
