The youngest and prettiest daughter of the Sea King's yearn to become a human. She falls in love with a young prince after saving him from drowning. She seeks the help of a Sea Witch who turns her fish tail into human legs. In return, she surrenders her beautiful voice and becomes speechless. The poor mermaid must then struggle through many trials in order to win the love of the handsome prince.
