The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

After launching Botswana's first female-run detective agency, Precious Ramotswe investigates cases involving a missing boy, a missing finger, a cheating husband and a dubious daddy.

When a young boy named Wellington comes into the agency looking for work, Precious hires him to hand out flyers. Meanwhile, she also investigates the mysteries of a disturbed dentist, a disappearing dog and a missing husband.

Precious visits an orphanage, where a woman tells her she's worried about her father. A doctor asks Precious to look into the deaths of three patients who all died on a Friday at 2pm. A wealthy landowner hires her to investigate a suspected poisoning.

An American woman comes to the agency looking for her missing son. Grace asks for a promotion and BK finds his salon ransacked. Precious and Andrea discover that a woman named Clara may be involved in the case of "The Boy with an African Heart."

Mma Pekwane comes to the agency fearing that her husband has purchased a stolen car. Patel, a local electronics-store owner, asks Precious to investigate whether his daughter has a secret boyfriend. Grace dives into her new assistant-detective role.

Precious and Grace learn of a rival agency. A promoter asks Precious to vet the competitors in his Beauty and Integrity contest. Patel asks Precious to ramp up her investigation of his daughter. Precious discovers that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The agency is hit by a string of break-ins. Precious finds out that Note Mokoti is back in town. Later, after receiving distressing news from Note, she uncovers some information to use against him. She also investigates a suspicious jeweler.
