Rio: Rainbow Gate! (English Subtitled)

A beautiful female dealer, with an intriguing nickname and history, meets new friends. She begins her quest to triumph over her opponents. Her first prize...a teddy bear!

In training a new recruit, Rio learns of the power of one of her cards. Even as she learns of the possibilities ahead, a Gate Holder named Elvis challenges her to a Gate Battle.

Misery loves company! The ghost of a woman named Misery haunts and spreads bad luck within the casino. As Misery takes refuge in the body of a fellow employee, Rio finds an unusual "cure" in a food delivery. As the drama winds down, a childhood friend is revealed.

Rio and Rina become re-acquainted with each other as Rio introduces her to other staff members. An opponent named Bull Hard takes the new recruit Anya hostage, challenging Rio to a vending machine lottery game. Rina begins her employment, with lacklustre results; and Howard finds a way to utilize the two women in an innovative skeet shooting game involving the removal of clothing with each loss.

Howard sends the lovely trio to work at the Sky Resort casino situated at the top of a mountain. They meet the resort's dealer, Linda; she is soon revealed to be a robot, and the resort's main computer terminal.

Howard informs the group that Cartia has challenged Rio to a Gate Battle against someone named Jack--with Howard Resort on the line. Mint meets the newest opponent, a boy with telekinetic powers; he has challenged Rio to a game of Space Pinball. At the end of the day, Rio and Jack work together to save Mint.

Howard reveals another Gate Battle will take place against a woman named Queen, despite Rio's being exhausted from the last battle.

In order to save Rina, Rio has to guess the hand in which King will hold a coin.

Cartia gains control of the Howard Resort, renaming it the Goltschmidt Kingdom, leaving Howard with only the Sky Resort (which is currently floating in the sea). Rio rejects Cartia's offer of employment and encounters another mysterious player.

Rio and Dana join the mysterious Joker at a casino where Howard is being held captive. Joker challenges Rio to a game of blackjack, with unexpected results. Meanwhile, Rina is becoming suspicious of Cartia's motives, even as Rio and her entourage confront her again.

Rio and her friends enter Goltschmidt Kingdom, attempting to win back the resort. Meanwhile, Howard talks to the Joker, who reveals her identity and motive for the deception. Rina appears and is challenged by Rio to a Gate Battle.

After publicly announcing the terms of the Gate Battle, Howard takes Rio and the others on vacation to an island town to relax. And yet another friend goes missing. Will a substitute dealer affect the result of the important Gate Battle with Rina?

The final and most important Battle ensues, with Rina gaining a huge advantage over Rio. Will Rio be able to pull it out of the fire? Identities are revealed to Rina and Rio, good fortune is rolled out, and life returns to normal. Almost.

A brisk wind brings in transformations and birthday wishes. Meanwhile, truly strange visitors meet with old friends, as transformations are undone.
