After surviving a nautical disaster, Lieutenant Claude de Ross washes up on an island along with a gaggle of convicts. Soon, the castaways are attacked by gruesome, scaly monsters before they are rescued by the cruel Rackham who takes them to the jungle lair of Professor Marvin. Marvin a disgraced American biologist has tampered with genetics and created an army of "fishmen" that he controls.
