A young couple on holiday are car-jacked by an escaped convict. When their tyres are punctured by a dead animal riddled with needle-like splinters they have to take refuge in a deserted gas station. Little do they know that these splinters are from a parasitic organism that transforms its still living victims into deadly hosts.
