Marie is a 39-year-old independent prostitute, a passionate member of the sex workers union, and a single mother. When her rebellious son, who wants to pursue a career in cooking, gets kicked out of school, she tries enrolling him in a prestigious French culinary program. But when her contagious optimism does little to help her to pay the fees, she looks to find a solution at any cost.
