This program examines the work of Dutch-born artist Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), during the most productive period in his brief artistic life - the fifteen months between February 1888 and May 1889 that he spent in the city of Arles, in the southeastern region of France known as Provence. During his 444 days in Arles, Van Gogh produced some 200 paintings and 100 drawings.
