British Steam Locomotives: Princess Margaret Rose

British Steam Locomotives: Princess Margaret Rose

Designed by Sir William A Stanier, she was the first Pacific locomotive for the LMS railway, entering service in July 1935. During her twenty-seven years of service to the LMS and British Railways, she covered one and a half million miles up until 1962. PMR then moved around the country on display to the public, until May 1990 when she was fully restored and moved under her own steam again.
