Chilies to the Rescue (Easing the Human-Elephant Conflict)

The rising elephant population in the parks led the herds to wander into villages and even kill locals. The villagers too have encroached into territories demarcated for the tuskers aggravating man-elephant conflict. To end the violence, conservationists have come up with a simple solution - using chilies. Can the hot and spicy fruit help in peaceful coexistence between humans and pachyderms?
