Seol Hee and Do Hee prepare to duke it out in the Arirang cooking competition to determine the next head chef of the restaurant. Who will come out victorious?

Seol Hee is displeased with the outcome of the competition and wants to try again. However, she is denied the opportunity of a rematch and Do Hee remains the new head chef.

Seol Hee is excited to tell everyone that she has found the lost Japanese Ethereal Recipes. However, her happiness is short-lived when it is revealed to her that the copy is actually a fake.

In Joo becomes a bit worried when Do Yoon asks that she return her coat. Joon Young makes a decision and takes the Japanese Ethereal Recipe over to Jae Ha.

Joon Young runs out of the event after witnessing Jae Ha comfort a crying In Joo. Bodyguards are in search of Do Yoon and he soon finds himself on the run.

While cleaning the kitchen in the morning, Joon Young finds out that the refrigerator is unplugged. When she brings the issue to Do Hee's attention, her reaction is not a good one.

Joon Young confesses, and Jae Ha leaves her to ponder own her comments. Do Yoon soon arrives to comfort her but does not want to get emotionally involved. Afterwards, Shin Young begins to show interest in Do Yoon but hesitates after Chef, Im Do Shik and Leader Ajuhmma notice the flirtation.

Do Yoon jokes with Joon Young and ends up with a face full of ramen. Later, Do Yoon notices that Baek Sul is stalking him, which causes Joon Young to start gossiping about the infatuation. Meanwhile, its competition day in the kitchen, and Jae Ha has his eye on reaching first place.

Joon Young decides to live at Arirang’s dormitory and starts a friendship with her new roommates. Meanwhile, Baek Sul prepares to sell her special sauce in the open market, but Doo Hee informs her that the sauce’s recipe has already been trademarked by another company, which is confirmed after Doo brings her a sample from a local grocery store.

Joon Young almost drowns, causing her to get temporary amnesia. Jae Ha is now a hero for saving her. The incident makes Jae Ha very popular among the other cooks. Later, In Joo starts to become suspicious of the whole event after discovering the water where Joon Young almost drowned is only knee-deep.

Do Yoon kisses a drunk Joon Young. Later, he clams that the kiss was an accident. The couple soon begins to fight, which leads to another strange kiss. Meanwhile, In Joo comes home to find a confused Doo Hee trying to find something else to do other then cooking food.

Jae Ha asks Joon Young not to move out. The two end up chasing one another in the reception lobby where they meet In Joo. Their friend informs the pair that their school will soon close due to a lack of enrolled students. Later, Grandma hears the same rumor that Arirang will soon have to shut its doors.

Joon Young and Jae Ha have a romantic moment in an elevator even though he still intends to break up with her. On the first floor, Joo and Do Yoon get into an argument that sends Baek Sul into a nervous rage. Assistant Kim goes to Baek’s room to calm him down, and the two chefs think of a new game plan.

In Joo encourages Joon Young to make peace with her father. Young Bum helps her by imitating Young’s father while practicing a conversation. Meanwhile, In Joo finally breaks up with Jae Ha, which surprises Joon Young. Later, things get kind of weird when Baek Sul and Joon Young go out on a first date.

An upset Joon Young confronts In Joo and asks why he sabotaged her assignment. The encounter leads her to remember the mysterious Go Joon Young. Later, Baek Sul plays cupid after seeing Jae Ha and In Joo share a romantic stare. Baek helps to block Joon Young from seeing the couple together in the courtyard.

Young Bum is looking for his daughter and confronts Joon Young’s fake father. Meanwhile, In Joo has trouble sleeping after seeing Joon Young and Doo Hee share a romantic moment. Later, he asks Doo Hee to quit Arirang. That same evening, Do Yoon forcibly tries to make his way back into Joon Young’s life.

Jae Ha proposes marriage to Joon Young, and Doo Hee attacks Baek Sul. Doo then warns the young man to stop messing with his daughter. In Joo sees the incident and starts to plot revenge. Meanwhile, Grandma is not happy about Jae Ha going against her wishes and proposing to Joon Young.

Joon Young wins first prize at a cooking event and gets swept into the national spotlight. Reporters swarm her, trying to discover what is in her secret sauce. Da Eun has to calm her nerves so that she can answer the reporters’ questions. Later, Jae Ha discovers that the competition may have been rigged by one of his adversaries.

Jae Ha catches Do Yoon and Joon Young in a friendly embrace, and he follows him to get more information. At the hospital, Jae confronts Baek Sul and the two men get into an angry confrontation in the parking lot. Later, Baek Sul lies about lending Joon Young’s fake dad some money.

Joon Young learns that her real father had abandoned her just before her step-father leaves her to start a new life in another city. Jae Ha tries to comfort her at a local park, but she refuses consolation from her ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, Jane reminds Do Yoon to keep his promise to her to break up with his girlfriend.

In Joo tells Jae Ha the truth about Joon Young’s childhood. She can’t understand why she doesn’t remember anything. Unfortunately, she does not believe in the stories he tells her. Meanwhile, Baek Sul has a meeting with the Ministry of Food where they discuss Arirang’s financial situation. Baek convinces him to rethink buying back the school's government bonds.

Jun Yeong tells President Baek that she feels happier and more organized now. A confident Jun Yeong walks home with Do Yun as Jae Ha watches her from the shadows.

President Baek visits Joon Yeong and Seong Do Hee after they become angry about a proposed competition. Ha In Wu goes to Korea and his presence makes In Joo uncomfortable as she creates new dishes.

Ha In Wu visits his parents and the family makes him leave after a fight. Joon Yeong presents a special proposal to President Baek concerning significant improvements at the restaurant.
