1939-1945, the railway workers in the Resistance

More than any other profession, railway workers were one of the essential cogs in the domestic Resistance against the Nazis. On a daily basis, they multiplied sabotage, false information and railroad explosions to hinder the Germans. The railway workers paid a high price and nearly 2000 of them were shot or deported.
