1998 NCAA(r) Division I Men's Basketball 2nd Round - Illinois State vs. Arizona
Arizona defeated Illinois State by a score of 82-49. The lopsided margin of victory was representative of the fact that the Wildcats were the top seed, while the Redbirds were seeded ninth. Arizona was coached by Lute Olson and Illinois State was coached by Kevin Stallings. Arizona eventually lost to Utah in the Elite Eight round of the tournament.
