21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897 Short Form (RPK)

Gul Badshah approaches Mahmudullah and his people, but they refuse to accept his demands, leading Gul Badshan to kill his own brother to gain their loyalty. The Indian Sikh Army takes an oath to protect the country.

Gul Bashah believes he is victorious, but Ishar Singh is now missing. Chand Singh searches for him, but Ishar is enraged and has gone to remove Orakzai's flag.

Buta Singh asks for vacation permission, but Captain Henry Mayne denies his request and grants it to Ishar Singh instead. Gul Baadshah introduces Rehmat Ali to Mahmudullah, a traitor in the British Indian Army.

Major Des Voeux tells Ishar Singh that he is responsible for protecting Fort Lockhart. Gul Badshah cuts the communication between Lockhart and Gulistan, and Ishar Singh is now worried about his army as Orakzai attacks.

Orakzai's attack doesn't last long as Gul Badshah decides to push back his army. On their journey home, Ishar Singh and Buta help a young girl who is troubled by some rowdy men.

Ishar Singh and Buta reach their homes and surprise everyone. Ishar meets his family and Buta sees his newborn son. British Indian soldiers build a bunker between Gulistan and Lockhart.

Colonel John Haughton asks a soldier to take leave for medical rest, but he refuses. Gul Badshah's mother expresses her concern for his well-being and asks him to stop the fight for Jihad.

During the Baisakhi celebration, Ishar Singh tries to recruit men to join the army by telling them of its many benefits. Balwinder Singh, however, tries to ruin his attempts.

Ishar Singh is disappointed in his attempts to recruit for the army, until one man comes forward to join. As the Baisakhi celebration continues, Gurmukh watched Captain Henry Mayne and Teresa dance together.

Ishar Singh and Buta leave to search for new Sikh soldiers. Buta is sure that no one will want to join the British army, but Ishar still has a ray of hope.

Ishar Singh and Buta visit Balwinder, and he challenges them to a wrestling match. Ishar agrees, but if Balwinder loses, then he and his men must join their army.

Ishar Singh and Buta manage to gather a few soldiers and prepare to return to Fort Lockhart. Winston Churchill introduces a new heliograph to the soldiers, a special communications device.

At Fort Lockhart, while everyone's asleep, Teresa sneaks into the dormitory to meet Gurmukh. Gul Badshah and Mahmudullah prepare for an attack, and a few Orakzai men climb a cliff to get into position.

A gunshot takes out an Orakzai as he pulls a pin from a grenade, and the appearance of Ishar and new fellow soldiers offers a ray of hope. Ishar introduces the new soldiers to the group.

Ishar proposes rebuilding the Sanghar post as it connects the Lockhart and Gulistan forts. Gul Badshah suggests he and Rehmat Ali communicate by pigeon moving forward. Ishar and the group visit the destroyed post, and Major Des Voeux names it Saragarhi.

The soldiers work together to construct the Saragarhi post. Balwinder is concerned about the lack of stars on his uniform. Churchill has planned a trap for Gul Badshah. Gurmukh discusses the letter from his family with Teresa.

Gul Badshah shares the details about the trap Churchill has planned for him, and asks Mahmudullah to be ready for war. In order to gain notice, Balwinder wrestles with his own brother. Major Des Voeux rushes to his wife after learning she has fainted.

Churchill and the soldiers take their positions. Although Churchill has trouble finding Gul Badshah in the chaos, he orders the attack. The soldiers are ambushed, and Gul Badshah strikes Ishar with an arrow.

Everything is chaos at Lockhart as the injured soldiers receive treatment. Ishar's condition is critical, and all the soldiers pray for him. Churchill struggles with the losses they suffered on the mission.

After many prayers and blessings, Ishar finally opens his eyes. Gul Badshah's victory celebration comes to an end when he learns that Ishar will live. Churchill decides there must be a traitor among them, and he takes his suspicions to Ishar.

Ishar suggests that Gurmukh should be trained to operate the heliograph machine. Gul Badshah accepts an arm wrestling challenge.

Ishar focuses on finding the traitor living amongst them. Buta and Balwinder tussle. Ishar and Curchill finally catch their traitor red-handed.

Disappointed in Rehmat's treason, Ishar comes up with a plan to use him against Gul Badshah. Gurmukh learns more about the heliograph machine. Later, everyone is shocked when Rehmat's horse turns up -- and Rehmat is dead.

Seymour escapes from the fort on his horse, and a worried Hira searches for him. Mahmudullah finds Seymour, and aims to kill him.

Ishar saves Seymour's life, while Balwinder plans to target Ishar. Gurmukh encounters Teresa in Seymour's room.
