24 Hours In A&E

Keen cyclist Stephen (48) arrives with a severely damaged ankle after coming off his bike deep in the Surrey woods. His ankle is so severely damaged he has been transferred to St George's from another hospital. Derek (89) is rushed in after collapsing with a suspected stroke in his garden.

This episode displays the strengths of unconditional love between parents and children. 34 year old Michelle is rushed to A&E with suspected sepsis. She is accompanied by her Mum, Dad and Son Josiah. We learn that she used to be a child model and attended Brit school and how she has continued to battled and overcome illness in her lifetime.

The episode features three men who are all at varying stages of their lives and relationships and who are all supported in A&E by their partners. Fifty three year old Neil is rushed in with severe chest and lung injuries after coming off his bike and being found unconscious.

This episode shows the importance of true friendship. Fifty three year old Glyn is brought in by ambulance after an accident at work on a building site. His leg has been run over by three tonne digger and in his hour of need it's his lifelong friend Barrie he turns to. John is a 93 year old man who is admitted after falling at home and who also has a severe case of sepsis.

Thirty four year old Hitin is rushed to A&E after he was assaulted in the street at the end of a night out with friends. He is unresponsive on arrival and doctors are worried the injury has caused a bleed on his brain. They also need to take account of his dangerous pre-existing medical condition.

Thirty year old Zac is rushed to A&E after severely dislocating and fracturing his ankle playing football with friends. He arrives in A&E in shock and pain and doctors have to work swiftly to restore the blood flow to his foot and reduce his pain. Ian fell off the tail gate while unloading his lorry and has badly hurt his back and pelvis.

Ex-paratrooper Martin (48) has sustained multiple life changing injuries to his neck, pelvis and legs after his paraglider was blown into the hillside during flight. He is rushed in to A&E by emergency helicopter. Doctors treat Eddie (73) for severe sepsis.

25 year old psychiatric nurse Christie arrives in resus with severe burns after being attacked by a patient. 23 year old Joe is rushed to St George's after being accidentally stabbed in the thigh by his cousin and 2 year old Freddie won't let doctors look in his eye after complaining of pain.

In this episode we see twenty four year old Samuel being rushed to A&E after crashing his motorbike and being thrown into the road. His girlfriend, Sophie, accompanies him. Meanwhile, seventy-year-old Clive comes into A&E after struggling to breathe at home. Two-year-old Florence is brought in by her Mum, Sal, and Dad, Harry, as they suspect she has swallowed a coin.

This episode focuses on a Mother's role in different family units. 20 year old Jacob arrives in resus with suspected internal bleeding after crashing his car into a wall at high speed. 82 year old Joan is treated for a head wound after tripping down the stairs at home and 7 year old Jackson is treated for a suspected infection on his cheek.

In this life-changing episode we meet thirty five year old Rich who is airlifted to St George's after being involved in a high-speed collision with another vehicle on the M25. Doctors are concerned that he has lost feeling below his chest and cannot move his legs, he tells staff that he is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Hannah, who is rushing to be by his side.
