Alex is a 21-year-old man living in the small town of Trialba who is figuring out what to do with his future. While cleaning out the shed in his backyard, he finds something mysterious inside a toolbox, which at the mere sight of it makes him faint. Upon leaving the hospital, where he has been hospitalized there for three days, he realizes that the number 3.33 is haunting him.

Alex is haunted by the number 3.33 and the voices that accompany it. While at the Bibliotrain with his friends, the boy crosses paths with Dr. Petrov, a specialist in treating trauma using the technique of regressive hypnosis. Alex, intrigued, begins researching the professor to see if he can help him understand what really happened on the day of his fainting spell.

Alex convinces Dr. Petrov to subject him to a regressive hypnosis session. During the session, the boy relives his "trauma," and Petrov is confronted with something supernatural. The psychiatrist, intrigued and at the same time frightened by this new case, investigates to make sense of the incident.

During Petrov's studies of the mysterious book and investigations, similarities emerge with some events that happened 40 years earlier. Meanwhile, Alex again encounters visions and, after several days, tries again to re-enter the cabin to try to understand what happened that day.

Dr. Petrov and Commissar Testa investigate the book and the coincidences of recent events but quickly set out on Alex's trail after being informed of his disappearance. The two and Alex's friends are pursued by strange presences that try to prevent the search for the boy.

Brianna keeps hearing strange voices pointing her to the basement of Alex's house. This seems to make no sense but, both Teresa and Leonardo, are compliant toward her request. From that moment, an uncomfortable truth will gradually emerge.
