Joint Response Unit teams are uniquely equipped to deal with crimes involving injuries to victims or suspects. A devastating car crash leads to a manhunt for the driver and two passengers, at least one of whom is bleeding heavily, and a man suffers fractures and brain damage after falling from a ten-foot wall onto concrete.

Streets away from a primary school a stolen vehicle smashes into parked cars after a police pursuit. While Paramedic Natalie attends to the man's serious injuries, Special Inspector Tom manages the crash scene.  A suspected burglar makes a dramatic escape from Special Constable Aaron by diving into the docks at Chatham Waters.

In Orpington, a Kent Joint Response Unit is part of a thirty-strong rescue team battling to save the life of an elderly motorist trapped in the wreckage of his car, which is wedged underneath a truck. To add to the urgency, a fuel spill makes it too dangerous for Fire crews to use cutting equipment, and the stricken driver is believed to have suffered a heart attack at the wheel.

Paramedic Mark and Special Constable Harry are called out to a drunk driver who has smashed into several parked cars down a residential street. In Maidstone, Special Inspector Tom and Paramedic Mark have their work cut out as a raging fire breaks out at a block of flats, which starts to spread, and mobile phone footage provides a clue on how the fire started.

JRU teams are uniquely equipped to deal with crimes involving injuries to victims or suspects. Paramedic Lisa and Special Constable Jack respond to a horrifying 999 call from an ex-paramedic colleague.  She's been cornered and bitten by an out-of-control group of large dogs, and suffered multiple puncture wounds.

Special Inspector Tom and Paramedic Dan respond to a high-level threat involving a man wielding a meat cleaver meanwhile in Gillingham, Special Constable Clive and Paramedic Sinead are called to a scene where a family of five have been the victims of a hit and run attack.  A crash at speed has left two cars badly smashed, and three children complain of friction burn injuries.

Paramedic Mark and police constable Ben attend a road traffic collision. A driver has a head injury, tensions rise over blame, and Ben finds CCTV evidence. Paramedic Mark, police constable Martyn and trainee special constable Jon handle a violent assault on a traffic warden needing police backup.

Teams attend a road traffic accident in Maidstone and are faced with a driver who appears suspiciously lethargic. Despite a clear breath test, a shocking discovery in the man's car may explain his behaviour. In Rochester, a lorry crashes into a railway bridge, but there is no sign of the driver.

We follow the Officers and Paramedics of Kent's Joint Response Unit as they attend to a dog walker who's suffered a cardiac arrest. The HEMS air ambulance crew joins the team in a bid to restart the patient's heart. In Sittingbourne, a man has gone into anaphylactic shock after eating peanuts and in Gillingham the team is called to a domestic incident where a woman has stabbed a man.

Special Sergeants Dean and Ben, and Paramedic Mark are called to a knife fight on the street in Gillingham whilst in Dartford, JRU team Special Constable Roisin and Paramedic Katy are called to the scene of a suspected terrorist bomb at a busy shopping centre. On a leafy Kent lane near Sevenoaks, a man returning from golf loses control of his car.

Kent's Joint Response Unit deal with medical and policing challenges involving the very young and the very old. At one end of the age scale the team attend a category one call for an 18-month-old baby girl thought to be suffering an anaphylactic shock, whilst in another part of Kent, crews respond to reports of an RTC involving an elderly driver.

In Kent, JRU teams are uniquely equipped to deal with crimes involving injuries to victims or suspects. Amidst the King's Coronation, an intoxicated patient causes havoc for Special Sergeant Jon and Paramedic Alex. A garage fire with toxic chemicals results in a homeowner needing hospitalisation as a result of smoke inhalation. The team need to stop a baby from having a seizure.

Special inspector Tom and paramedic Willow answer to a 999 call, a man has been attacked by a gang of robbers attempting to steal his phone, leaving him badly injured. Also in Kent, the JRU are busy dealing with an angry man stopped for no insurance, a motorcyclist and pillion rider who are thrown off their bike into the road, a van suspected of being involved in catalytic converter theft.

A woman left on the ground with a suspected fractured back, is dramatically airlifted to hospital by an emergency Air Ambulance.  A 13-year-old E-scooter rider is left with a suspected broken ankle after a collision with a car driven by a 17-year-old.  A man falls over unconscious after drinking heavily, and paramedics are concerned he may have a head injury.

Paramedic Chelsea and Special Constable Robbie's work together during a welfare check on a man found covered in blood. Seemingly, the victim of a hit and run accident, until an altogether different story emerges. The latest annual figures reveal, almost 6,500 people were killed or injured on UK roads, in accidents involving a drunk driver.
