A Thing Called Love

As Valentine Day approaches, Gary is reminded how much he has been neglecting his long-term girlfriend Mel, and decides to propose. As the critical moment dawns, Gary finds best friend Paula's words ringing in his ears, that when it comes to love, you must never compromise.

Gary resolves to stay celibate until he's met the woman of his dreams while his younger brother, Michael decides to lose his virginity for his 18th birthday. Gary is outraged when he discovers Michael's intentions but Michael is having none of Gary's hypocrisy.

Gary becomes broody when he attends the christening of Floyd and Chantelle's first child, not realizing that fatherhood isn't all it's cracked up to be. He's soon distracted though, by a sexy older woman.

Local Sports Club manager Harold makes friends with one of ladies frequenting the club bar and Gary decides to play Cupid. He enlists the help of Paula, with disastrous consequences, and he makes an interesting discovery at the flat.

Paula finds a new man and Gary realizes that he's missed his chance. Kelvin takes him out to a strip bar to cheer him up, and ends up cheating on his wife - again. She finds out, she is far more shocked and outraged when she realized the full extent of his infidelity.

Kelvin's world falls apart, as Liz won't let him anywhere near her or the kids. Gary tries to take care of him, but his own world is starting to fall apart, too. In a drunken state, Kelvin concocts a plan to win back Liz, but it all ends in tragedy.
