Based in Kashipur, an empire is ruled by self-proclaimed Godman Baba Nirala, who has influence over the lower class. Pammi, a lower caste girl, becomes devoted to him. A resurfaced skeleton disrupts the peace before state elections, with Mrs links pointing to Baba's Aashram. Doubts arise about Baba's true nature as a messiah.
