When pharmaceutical executive Lee Manning is found dead in Montreal, his wife Sarah's world is thrown into a tailspin. With the ensuing investigation revealing more questions than answers, she suddenly finds herself under suspicion, and her life under surveillance.

Despite investigating garda Emer Byrne's suspicion of Sarah, both women continue to press for answers. Emer is convinced Gumbiner-Fischer is hiding something, while Sarah is increasingly driven to discover who is responsible for her husband's death.

With the case suddenly closed, Sarah is thrown into freefall. Then she makes an unexpected discovery, proving Lee clearly knew something he shouldn't. But what does it mean? And who can help her decipher it?
