Iowa bowhunters, Cordell Turner and Bill Jackson, team up to hunt giant Hawkeye state bucks. With a slow rut, Cordell puts his game face on as a big buck finally steps into range, knowing this could be his last opportunity of the season.

As the Illinois rut rolls in, Dick McCormick and Mack Raikes team up to bow hunt the Land of Lincoln. With Dick after one particular buck, Mack gets an unexpected opportunity at a mature buck.
