Christmas brings the good news that Monika and Joachim are expecting a child. Helga takes over managing the studio when Caterina is incapacitated by a car accident. Eva is now a successful gallery owner--with a troubled marriage.

Monika has a miscarriage and Joachim blames himself, leading to serious problems. Eva and Jurgen’s marriage takes an even worse turn. Wolfgang and Helga both have confessions to make.

Monika confronts her worst fears as the Eurovision Song Contest qualifying round looms. Eva has moved back in with Jurgen to try starting over. Helga and Amando's affair becomes more public, threatening the reputation of the dance school.
